Overview
On this page you will find each of the photo-shoots I have completed for my artists, you will see all the raw shots and a brief description as to how I got the images or why I took them in the fashion they are in, Below each set of images there will also be a document for downloading where you can see how I selected the images I was going to use.
Natsumi Hayashi (Yowa Yowa) Shoot
These are the original images in the photo-shoot I had taken inspired by Natsumi Hayashi, When looking at her work I had noticed that she had focused around the same subject in each of her images, so to put my own twist into it I decided to use different models and collect a set of images for a "floating student" set of images. These images had fairly high shutter speeds to capture the movement of being in the air, I also had to use a low aperture with flash to make sure the image didn't turn out too brightly and the ISO averaged around the 1000 setting. I have selected Ten of these images for editing.

Multiplicity Photoshoot
This is the original images for the photo-shoot inspired by Eadweard Muybridge, This shoot was general shots with the flash on to show the subject in slightly lighter backgrounds, this was done to make the editing of multiple people seem almost Ghost-like as I wanted to create my own twist on Eadweard Muybridge's work. I focused on having the same background for most of these images as with each one of them I wanted to explore the hidden aspects of the moving figure, such as one of my edited images from this shoot based on the Hindu model of a god with many hands, and another showing depression. By doing this I could use multiplicity to express many aspects of the moving figure with different emotions. I have selected Thirty of these images for editing (created 10 edits).
Movie Strip Photoshoot
These are the original images for my photo-shoot inspired by my idea to pay homage to technicolor and the moving figure in terms of motion pictures. I had focused the shots on regular movements for the most part as I wanted to give my images a home movie kind of feeling however for the ones catching actions such as jumping I needed to once again use a high shutter speed roughly the 1/250 second mark or higher. I had made the aperture around roughly around the F-stock 18 setting, with an automatic ISO setting to refine the image into a bright yet clear one. I have selected Thirty of these images for editing (created 10 edits).
Mark Seton Photoshoot
These are the original images to my photo-shoot inspired by Mark Seton, These images required a high shutter speed of 1/250 a second, an external flash and an aperture of around the F-stock 11 setting. These images were supposed to represent the moving figure in another form, I wanted a photo-shoot based on collision of form and so I used the liquid form of the water and solid form of the apple to create a collision that had leading lines from the focal point of the apple to the splash left above it. I have selected Ten of these images for editing.
Edward Horsford Shoot
These are my original images that I took for the shoot inspired by Edward Horsford, the images in this shoot mostly consist of the balloons before bursting and this is due to the setting up for each shot with the external flash and camera's focus. These shots consisted of a high shutter speed; the setting itself being averaged around about 1/250 second. The aperture for these images was around the F-stock 10 setting as this helped to darken the background enough for the flash to have an impact on the images and the ISO was set to 100 for most of these images. The original intent with this photo-shoot was to capture the water as a moving figure in the form of the balloon before it burst apart. this resulted in different types of images such as those that look spherical instead of balloon shaped and show different potential moving figures that water presents. I have selected Ten of these images for editing.
Mark Mawson Photoshoot
These are the original images that were taken for my inspired Photo-shoot of Mark Mawson's work, this shoot needed a black background and an external flash to collect these images, the shutter speed was relatively low about 4/5 a second with a low aperture of the F-stock 4 setting, the ISO was also averaged at 100 this allowed for the images to be collected over time and the smoke to be visible when the flash was used. The reason I took these images was to present another way the moving figure can take form, in this case a gas form due to the smoke being vapour, however it still had movement patterns and created great abstract images when edited. I have selected Ten of these images for editing.
Extra Photoshoot (backgrounds and people)
This is simply a collection of images I thought could be used as backgrounds or be possibly included in other photo-shoots however most of these examples were just used as backgrounds whenever I had done image overlay, images like the splash ones in this shoot were also unusable due to a lack of a solid moving figure being visible.
